In Jacksonville, FL, in 1935, Asa Phillips started a company called Auto Ventshade®. This new company was built around the Ventshade®, an innovative device which mounted above car windows letting fresh air in while keeping out rain and wind with the window open. The Ventshade® was originally offered in metal only. Because it became such a popular automotive accessory, this led Mr. Phillips" son, Asa Phillips Jr., to develop the Ventvisor® side window deflector in plastic. In 1998, Lund International acquired AVS. The brand name has since become synonymous with Ventvisor® side window deflectors, hood protectors, and more innovative products to help you enjoy and protect your vehicle.
